Protecting the Reefs of Espiritu Santo

Aquamarine is proud to be playing a role in the protection of the reefs around Espiritu Santo. Aquamarine’s entire dive team have all attended a week of training to become fully certified Reef Check volunteers. Reef Check is a global organization working to educate the public about the value of reef ecosystems and the current crisis affecting marine life. Reef check volunteers, including Aquamarine’s dive team, regularly monitor and report on reef health in Espiritu Santo to help the Reef Check organization work towards creating ecologically and economically sustainable solutions to protecting our reefs. Aquamarine Promotional DVD Released

Following up on the Coolidge documentary that was produced with the help of Aquamarine last year, Aquamarine is pleased to announce the release of its promotional DVD. The DVD is just 17 minutes long and is a great way to learn about the Coolidge and Aquamarine’s dive services before heading to Santo. The DVD is available to all dive shops and is great to show at film nights or club nights in preparation for your next trip to Espiritu Santo. Aquamarine Welcomes Greg Verhoeven

Aquamarine continues its commitment to having only the best dive guides by welcoming Gregory Verhoeven to our dive team. Greg is a PADI Instructor as well as a TDI Extended Range, Decompression Procedures and Advanced Nitrox Instructor. He hails from Belgium and is fluent in Flemish, Dutch, French, German and English, bringing a true international flair to Aquamarine and providing multi-lingual instruction and guiding on the Coolidge. Greg brings our dive team up to 8 full-time guides and 3 full-time instructors. Welcome aboard, Greg!

After 2 years working on the Coolidge, Aquamarine’s tec instructor, Brian Farrell (affectionately known as "Shooter") has created his own personal tour for Coolidge junkies. Brian likes his diving deep and dark so be prepared for some high numbers on your depth gauge and some serious penetration. Join Aquamarine for a week of diving and work your way up to this adrenaline-pumping tour after you’ve seen the Coolidge’s other highlights including the magnificent Lady, the squeezy engine room and the spectacular swimming pool.
