Working to Protect Vanuatu’s Reefs
Working in collaboration with Reef Check, an international non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the world’s reefs, Aquamarine recently conducted another survey of the reef site around the President Coolidge. The results will be compiled with past information gathered by the Aquamarine Reef Check team, a team of 8 divers trained by Reef Check in 2006. Over time, the data will provide information about the health and vitality of Vanuatu’s reef which will be used to educate the government and the public about reef preservation. Divers From All Over the World Discover The Coolidge
The Dudas Diving Duds, a group of wreck divers from the eastern United States, have been taking dive trips for 20 years in search of the best wreck sites in the world. With a mission like that, it's no wonder that they finally found themselves in Espiritu Santo to discover the hidden jewel of the SS President Coolidge. With 2 full weeks of decompression diving planned, the Diving Duds were afraid that they would run out of things to see and places to explore but they underestimated the thrill of the Coolidge. After 2 weeks of diving, they had a serious case of Coolidge fever and were already dreaming about their return trip.
The Diving Duds
are just one of many dive groups that are coming from farther and farther away to dive with Aquamarine. Aquamarine welcomed it’s first large group of Chinese divers earlier this year as well. Escaping the hustle and bustle of the Olympic preparations, these intrepid divers made the trip to Vanuatu and the Coolidge to enjoy the best wreck diving in the world. The group of 12 experienced divers were amazed at the easy access to such a magnificent wreck and by the amazing fish life. Groups coming from countries so far away is a growing trend. Perhaps the SS President Coolidge is loosing its status as the best kept wreck secret out there!
Aquamarine’s Family Keeps Growing

We have two new dive guides, Aidan and Simon, as well as Charles, our newest deck hand. For photos of our new dive team, check out our staff page. We’re also thrilled to share the news that Graham Tari, who has been guiding with Aquamarine for over 6 years, has welcomed his first child, a beautiful baby girl named Delisa. Next time you’re in Santo, we hope you’ll welcome the newest members of our team and give a hearty congratulations to Graham.
